Electing the MRC National Advisory Council
May 20, 2009The organisational structure of the Maldivian Red Crescent makes provisons for a National Adivsory Council (NAC). The NAC will play a consultative role for the Governing Bodies and Committees of MRC, analysing and advising on policy related matters which define the various activities and what can be done to achieve the objectives of the National Society.
Till the 2nd General Assembly NAC will comprise of 8 members of which, the electioneering for the 4 IPG reprentatives were held at the 35th IPG meeting, Ministry of Health, 20th May 2009.
Maldivian Red Crescent bill is PASSED
April 29, 2009‘Ya ya ye coco jumbo yay ya ye…’ sings out a member of the Interim Planning Group (IPG) of the Maldivian Red Crescent.
The joy and ecstasy can be explained and is shared by a lot of people dedicated to the cause of ensuring humanity exists in our communities, throughout the islands of Maldives and around the globe.
A journey that began in the aftermath of the December 2004 Tsunami, has today made the history of Maldives 29th April 2009 is the day the Citizens Majlis approved the long awaited Red Crescent Bill.
Bliss for all those who dedicated their time and undivided attention to lay the foundations of what potentially could be the glue to bring back a dying tradition, a human nature, Voluntarism.
The journey to form and establish the Maldivian Red Crescent continues….

ދިވެހި ރެޑް ކްރެސެންޓް ިބިލު ފާސްވެފައިވަނީ އެވަގުތު ޖަލްސާއަށް ހާޒިރުވެވަޑައިގެން ވޯޓުގައި ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންނެވި 26 މެންބަރުންގެ ތެރެއިން 25 މެންބަރުންގެ އަޣްލަބިއްޔަތުންނެވެ
