A member of the event management team for the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day celebrations at Artificial Beach gets injured. Members of the Disaster Management team (of IFRC and also on the Maldives First Aid Practitioners Network) sprang into action. The bandanna produced to promote the day and the Movement served as a reliable emergency band-aid.
The Maldives First Aid Practitioners Network (MFAPN) initiated by a group of volunteers with the support of IFRC and Faculty of Health Sciences aims to promote and train the community in First Aid throughout the Maldives.
The network was created with the intention of forming a core activity of the Maldivian Red Crescent Society.
