The newsletter was released and distributed nationwide coinciding the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day 2008 celebrations in the Maldives. A short bio of the future Maldivian Red Crescent Society and its activities are presented.
The newsletter also included a short bio of the Maldives First Aid Practitioners Network (MFAPN). A volunteer group of First Aid practitioners supported by the Federation (IFRC) and Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), in the future would serve as a core activity of the national society once formed.
